In order to get these to fit my meter, I had to take a Dremel cutting wheel and cut off most of the shroud from each plug. This is not _that_ big of a deal, but the listing did make a point to say that they are "universally" compatible. I just wasn't happy that I had to cut up my junk before even being able to test it out. If your existing leads do not have a shroud covering the _entire_ banana plug, then you may need to cut the shroud on these.Other than that, the leads are fine. A step up quality-wise from what I had before. The modular nature of them is handy IF you're planning on using the alligator clips all the time. (The plungers come with full sets of wires you can't remove.) But because they are modular, the probe handles end up being WAY longer than they need to be once hooked up, and I'm sure the probes will come unhooked from bouncing around in my tool bag all the time. Not worth it just to save on a little wire for the alligator clips alone, IMHO. A small inexpensive soft case would have been nice. The way it is now I just have a bunch of loose pieces that may eventually get lost.Next time I'll pass on this set and get one-piece leads. And if I need a larger set with modular ends I'll make sure it comes with a case. After I gave this a neutral 3-star review, the seller contacted me to address my issues, unsolicited. That's pretty good customer service in my book, so I'm bumping this up another star based on customer service alone. And it's really not their fault that my meter takes shroudless plugs; I just didn't think they should claim these are universal when they are not. En lire plus

Before I split hairs with a wall-o-text let me make it clear these probes do work. The plugs of the AstroAI meter I also purchased with them fit perfectly, and both style of clips hold pins, legs, posts, etc securely but not unreasonably tight. That being said, I do have a few issues based on design and usability. However, once again, to be clear they are not deal breakers and do not impact the function of the cables. The piggy back banana plugs of the 'pin grabber' clips are a nice addition, but since meter cables use a shrouded plug, you cant piggy back a probe onto them. why would you? No idea, but itd be nice it they were physically compatible. The alligator clips rubber shroud, while a nice thickness for electrical work, is a bit stiff making closing my meters case a bit of a puzzle. This is mostly due to the pouch design of the case (the one in the deal bundled with the AstroAI meter, which I addressed in a review on the cases page), but its something to be aware of if you have a snug case. Also the inserts for the probes take a bit of aim so you dont skewer the shroud, or your finger with the probe tip. Due to the extra length of clips on the probes using them can become a bit cumbersome. I dont know if its possible with widely available, low cost, alligator clip stock, but Id like to see an option or version that could plug directly into the jumper wire with a banana jack. The probes, which are longer than im used to, are comfortable and light in the hand. Very little hand fatigue for those of us with ham hands on longer projects. If you got this far and now youre questioning purchasing them, dont question, just buy them. I was going to give 4 stars due to the design issues making them, in my personal hair splitting opinion, less than absolutely perfect but I left the 5th star on because they do work as advertised and at this price point none of what I said matters. These cables have been serving me well in the light to moderate use I put them through probing around random (low voltage) electronics projects. Check the plug connectivity when you get em (not because these feel like cheapy crap. But because you never know and might as well find a dodgy connection while still inside the return window) and put them to work. You wont regret it. En lire plus
